Outside turns bittery cold, and the time has come to buy a new coat to battle the winter mornings and chilly afternoons. And whilst I do love the variety of coats that seem to have appeared this year, this is something that I really have to go substance over style on - I'm seemingly always cold, and my fingers are known to feel numb, so I'm usually on the lookout for furry lining and a hood. I'd say I've met in the middle with this coat though, with chunky zips and leathery patches, its not entirely an ugly compromise. And the fur trimmed hood, well, it makes a nice pillow in cinemas, I discovered today.
Although I only took this coat off to wear lunch today, I've been wearing this new striped top with my favourite necklace beneath. I'd not heard of Pussycat London before, and although the name is a little odd, they have some pretty nice pieces in. We watched Thor at the cinema, which was good, but really not as great as I'd worked myself up to hope. And of course, the cinema is near shops, so I came home armed with new goodies, oops?
What have you been up to this weekend?

Oh I just bout a fur trimmed hood coat myself! So cosy (and long! No kidney infections guarantee). Mine's from TK Maxx, it seems it's the only place where I shop for clothes - and shoes - these days.
ReplyDeleteYour coat looks so cosy, I need something like that! I am ALWAYS cold, none of my coats keep my warm so I end up wearing so many layers that I can hardly move! And of course, when I get indoors, I'm sweating my tits off! Thanks for your comment on my blog, S! I know what you mean about london hotels, I usually stay in the Travel Lodge in the docklands which cost about £35 a night when booked in advanced, but each time I've stayed there, there's always cleanliness issues :-( The boundary hotel was a world away from travel lodge, I was thankful for clean sheets! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, especially the top, and the coat looks so cosy :) xx
ReplyDeleteThis looks uber comfy! xoxo
