I only picked this up because the packaging was pretty, I had a £5 No7 Voucher and I, yet again, had apparently forgotten that I already have a drawer full of lip glosses at home. Nothing new there!
I had high hopes for this lip gloss - The texture looked smooth and the colour close to perfection. However, although it feels smooth, colour does not transfer onto the lips at all, and instead looks like colourless goo on my lips. Really... No colour transfer whatsoever. It looks alright, but its really nothing special.
I really wanted to love it, but considering the £10.50 price tag I'd much rather buy something else, even with a No7 voucher. I like my glosses to be 'true.' If I want another clear gloss I'll buy one, and I have plenty other lip glosses that give me exactly what I wish for. Granted, it does feel quite nourishing and it is shiny; but overall the lack of colour transference and it doesn't really last long either.
Another thing to note is the incredible effort taken to squeeze anything out of the tube, and the absence of any scent - Perhaps I've been ruined by Lancome?
Has anyone else tried this? What are your thoughts?
Whats your all time favourite lip gloss?
S xx
lovely :0 heard so much about t his and the clarins onex
ReplyDeleteI had meant to buy this last time I was in Boots but I wasn't thinking and picked up one of the Liplicious glosses instead. Seeing these reviews on their Nourishing Lip Shine, I'm kinda glad I bought the wrong thing. Liplicious has pigmentation and subtle shimmer. :p x
ReplyDeleteIt really is just a bit plain - I've not tried the liplicious, will have to keep my beady eyes out <3 x
Deletei think it looks nice but i agree, its definitely nothing special. thats why i don't get the fuss about the clarins ones that these are supposed to be dupes of. they're pretty average lip glosses too xx
ReplyDeleteI've tried so many around the same price that have a gorgeous tint and great payoff, I wish I hadn't bothered! x
DeletePackaging is so pretty I might swatch it when i'm in boots look like a good colour too ashame it does not transfer! x
ReplyDeleteAww that's a shame because the packaging's AMAZING! I guess it's only called a Lip Shine rather than colour... Your skin is so clear btw :) x
ReplyDeleteToo bad it was such a disappointment because the color looks so pretty in the packaging and yes, the packaging is really pretty too :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
this is such a pretty colour!
ReplyDeleteBisous xx
