An organisation freak, I've never been one to use digital calenders, and instead have always loved putting pen to paper and having something solid to hold on to, (I'm sure Kindle haters feel the same).
I guess you could assume that a part of me will never entirely trust technology!
I'd used a pocket sized Filofax for as long as I could remember, after receiving one as a gift. Last year though, I decided that it was too small, old fashioned and boring, and decided to use a funky looking A5 Paperchase academic (mid year) number, which I loved. This year however, I found that the 2011/2012 designs were, well, crap. Being the stationary lover that I am, the search for a brand new academic diary begun, and I ended up with the seemingly bland Moleskine.
How wrong I was. Bland, the Moleskine is not. Instead, with its soft rounded edges and crisp off-white paper, this diary whispers subtlety and refinement. As silly as it may seem, its a sophisticated pleasure to write in and use, and is full of little inspirational reminders to myself alongside the cramped list of lectures and assignments. Grumble.
How do you keep yourself organised? Filofax, Moleskine, your phone? Or any other wonderment I should discover?
S xx

Paperchase is usually my first choice of stationery, but I admit that lately they have ranges for 13 year olds... :( I've found a great little stand in Selfridges which has a Japanese-themed organizers, so I've been using one from there lately. FYI: I LOVE stationery! X

I always use the calendar on my phone, but really want to get a moleskin or filofax, as I'd feel really stylish just whipping one out of my bag!!xx

I would love to be organised enough for a filofax, but all my papers/plans/lists are just shoved in a drawer somewhere xx
ReplyDeleteI am a stationary addict but in Malta they dont have great stationary places like in the UK so its kinda hard. I do generally use my fone but I much prefer to use a lovely planner.
ReplyDeleteMoleskin is gorgeous and I totally love this! I may have to get the fam to get me a nice one for a christmas present as I hate using my fone, its just easier right now :( xx

Eloise - Oh wow, I could definitely not manage like that, I'd forget absolutely everything and within a week my whole life would be utter chaos! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI do wish Moleskines were available in other colours and styles like in America, I've been dying for the Helvetica one, though thats obviously just a notebook, and erm, I'd probably never wan't to use it! ;)

ReplyDeleteI've had multiple diaries and notebooks but need to stock up again, so perhaps a moleskine is on the cards! I've previosuly only used them for drawing in.
You've got a great blog by the way!

ReplyDeleteI'm a big Filofax user myself. I like the flexibility of the format.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and sizes of Filofax. I've got pinks and purples so far
ReplyDeleteIf you want nicer paper for a pocket filofax try the 'cotton cream' range.. it's like an off-white and the paper's good enough to use a fountain pen on...
