Dress - River Island
Cardigan - Primark
Clutch - Next
Ring - LLMLRS
Although it was ages ago, I remember buying this dress so well. I lusted after it when it was full price, but couldn't justify spending £35 on it. Months later I noticed a girl trying this on in the changing rooms, bickering with her mum about whether to buy it or not, what she'd wear with it and whatnot. It looked absolutely fantastic on her and had a massive 'sale- £15' tag hanging from the back of it. I usually tell people if they look great when they seem unsure, but this time I kept shtum. In the end she plonked it down and stormed out of the shop, saying she'd come back and get it if she couldn't find anything else suitable. Well, I picked it up and pretty much ran to the till. I felt so guilty but insanely happy that i'd waited, and got it for less than half price!
I went out with some old work colleagues from the hospital last night. It was intended to be a band 5 Physiotherapists night out, but myself and a couple of Occupational Therapist friends kind of gatecrashed! It was nice to see everyone again, and I'm sure I'll be seeing them loads again in the future, especially when I'm qualified. I didn't know everyone, but I absolutely love the refreshment of meeting new people, and it turns out that these people had just graduated from the University I'm at now!
They're a pretty relaxed bunch so I was quizzing over what to wear for a while. In the process, I discovered that I can fit into my little black dress again (its been over a year since I could), so I'm saving that for my birthday 'drinks' in a few weeks.
Earrings and necklace (doubled over) both from River Island.
Lipstick - Mac Bombshell
(I really wish that I had a better camera that showed up my make up better)!
Having a good weekend?
S xx

ReplyDeleteI laughed at your story of how you got your dress, sometimes you have to be ruthless to get what you want I suppose. I probably would have done the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have done the exact same thing if I was you in the pretty bargain dress situation. It certainly went to a better home, it looks looovely on you :)
