Ah, my favourite part of Rome. No admission fee's, and two amazing spots to plonk yourself down and take in the sights that pictures never did do justice. I was looking forward to seeing the Trevi fountain, but was worried that it wouldn't live up to the hype. I feel this way about many 'sights' I've seen, and it makes me feel like Karl Pilkinton. When I saw the Eiffel Tower I think we stayed for all of a minute before moving on, but the Trevi fountain threw me, tucked away behind other more subtle plazas, and thus a huge surprise as you turn the corner. Its the one thing, besides the Golden Temple, that really, no picture will ever do the size and intricate detail justice. We scouted out Romes best gelato close to the Trevi, and San Crispino certainly didn't disappoint - If you're ever heading for Rome, its worth a search!
We got a caricature drawn here, and whilst Dan sports a few similar features, it hilariously looking nothing like me. He even gave me a short bob, huge boobs in a fancy dress, and stilettos. Erm, what? All part of the fun though, amongst window shopping at Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and plenty of other designers I'll never afford. I threw my coin into the Trevi, now when can I go back?
See more of my Rome trip here, including the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel!
Have you been here?
Would you like to go to Rome?

It is a stunning place. The best thing about Rome for me was that where ever you turned you found the most beautiful places.
