Ah, the black dress. Forever an approved staple, and perfect to turn to when you just don't know what to wear. When this arrived, I was sure there was no way it was going to fit me. After I had finally figured out that I'd have to step into it to get it on, I was initially horrified by how bootylicious it was. I did, though, try it on again a couple of weeks after it arrived and I must say that my new 'lifestyle change' has filled me with a bit of confidence already and I couldn't wait to wear it. It has nicely placed panels to pull and support a little bit, and create a slimmer look, but wiggling into it is an indicator of what was to come. I could only take small steps, had to swivel to get out of the car, and needed to unzip it and actually pull the whole thing down to go to the toilet - There was no way it was coming up over my child bearing hips, I was a real 'lady' that night!
You could say this dress is a bit of a kerfuffle, but sometimes it has to be worth it for a confidence boosting slinky dress. It is stretchy and comfortable once its on, even though its firm, which is rather reassuring really. I wore this alongside my favourite Nars lippy on a cheat day where Dan and I went to our old favourite restaurant (which has whacked the prices up). Its fair to say I tested the seams of the dress with steak and a dessert - It survived!
What do you think?

I love that dress, really flattering. I have a slinky black dress with a lacy shoulder back panel. I love it, can't beat a LBD. Glad it survived the dessert!!
