In almost every single photograph from this day, I'm giggling like a loon. For no other reason than I was getting away with indecent exposure. Not voluntarily I must add, but this is the first time I've worn this dress in about a year, and in the past I've worn it with leggings. So as soon as Dan arrived at the lake, ready to take a stroll in the sun, I realised I'd chosen the wrong day to wear un-sexy pink leopard print frenchies, forgetting that this is the most gravity defying, gone-with-the-wind dress I own, to a level that truly cannot be tamed with Monroe-esque resistance. And so we spent a fair bit of the time sat down instead, munching on sharing platters and sipping Pepsi. I didn't want to kill anybody with the view, you understand.
I do love this dress, (if you can call it that), I think I've had it for about 4 years now and I often forget I've got it. It has to be, by far, the shortest thing I own, and that, paired with the super light draped fabric is only asking for disaster in the breeze, I suppose. Still, its the absolute perfect thing to wear on a day thats so hot you'd otherwise take to lying naked on the kitchen floor, (I swear I don't really do this)!
Anyway, whilst delving into the depths of my wardrobe I also pulled out this also-forgotten-about bag that I might try and use more often, despite the difficulty trying to fit my DSLR, and everything else in, (it doesn't work). I'm still on the lookout for a new bag, has anyone seen anything cute? I'm liking the looks of Radley (I'm a sucker for black and pockets, so this one will do nicely), and Mulberry (standard)! This was however, the first time I showcased my new octagon sunglasses. Inspired by Ooh-la-llymlrs I'd been after some round glasses for a while, but this pair caught my attention and my purse strings.
I suppose I do have something to look happy about besides my embarrassing indecency - I've recently been really lucky and landed a Physiotherapy job! I had previously found two part time jobs, but this one is working in a hospital that I had two placements in, and I love it! Most applications close within 2 hours due to hundreds of applicants, so I'm feeling pretty lucky that myself and two course-mates got the jobs!
Thats all! Have you got any exciting news? Or just, news?
