Thought Mavala just did itsy bitsy nail varnishes? Well, I've been shown otherwise, and with high hopes, I'm quite pleased with how these lip glosses turned out. The packaging is pretty boring really, but its sleek and simple, and really, thats not what we're here for, is it? The glosses themselves are amongst the most pigmented and comfortable to wear. By that I mean they're not thick and sticky, and the texture is just right. Its quite nice to find a lip gloss that is so pigmented without any stickiness whatsoever. They're also enriched with nourishing ingredients such as grape seed oil and vitamin E which is a nice touch, though I always wonder how much of a difference that really makes to a lip gloss besides protection from the elements. Considering all that, the only downfall these lip glosses have is how transferrable they are, but I can live with that, I just need to take extra care not to smudge.
In the above pictures, the glosses were applied to a bare lip to show the true colour of the product. Litchi, at the top, is quite a subtle peachy nude shade, whilst Strawberry is a classic bright red with very slight shimmer. Blackcurrant is a bright punchy purple colour with pink undertones, and is probably my favourite!
Have you tried these before?
Which is your favourite shade?
