Temperley London Camille Gown £195 Hire* (£2160 to buy)
& Camille Cape £45 Hire* (£90 to buy)
Its not often the opportunity arises to gallivant around in a dress fit for a princess. So when offered a dress hire from Wish Want Wear, I chose the most extravagant, beautiful dress I could find. I don't have any upcoming events to go to, I only ever go to weddings to work at them, and theres a lack of parties in my diary too - So I thought I'd go all out and get something that'd make me feel grand, just because. This dress sure fits the bill for a film premier or a plush party, both unfortunately never appearing on my agenda.
Instead, I strutted around the flat in it for a few hours, feeling like Arwen and swishing the silky cape around for my housemates to marvel at in pure awe (Not really, I live with three boys, ha)!
The service reminds me of Sex and the City's Carrie and her assistant, with a penchant for high end gear, without the budget. It also reminded me of Confessions of a Shopaholic (Maybe I watch too many films), aiming for the high life and fashion, getting carried away and running out of money very, very quickly. This way, you can rent a dress for the price of a high street number, and feel like a million dollars wearing a top designer piece, finished to perfection.
I remember spending £250 on the perfect Coast dress for a masquerade ball. Four years later, it sits in my wardrobe untouched and unworn past that first and last time. I don't even know if it fits me anymore! Had I been aware of this earlier I probably could've saved myself some money and the dress could've been the dress of my dreams - Oh, and you don't have to worry about any accidental red wine spillages or anything, everything is dry cleaned and any minor damage is covered.
This dress wasn't the best fit as it was a little big on top, but you can get two sizes sent out at no extra cost to make sure you get the right one.
What would you hire?
What do you think of this one?

DeleteYou get props for picking the post expensive dress! I think I would hire one for a reeeeeeeeally classy event, but £195 is still a lot of money for a night wearing a dress someone else has worn. Plus I'd be terrified of damaging it!

Thats what I'd be worried about, but I read all the T&C, and minor damage and holes and that are no problem - Not too bad I'd say! Yeah its MEGA expensive anyway, I didn't realise how much until after! I just wanted a floor length one that was swishy, ha! I don't think I'd ever have an event this swish to go to, but if I did, its still a lot cheaper than £2,000! :)
