Left to right:
18 Violine Strass
04 Rose Tweed
17 Rose Millesime
£7.99 each
I don't usually pay much attention to drugstore brand lipsticks - I prefer high end brands where they are laid out on the counter perfectly, as a mosaic of colours. Shades are easy to see, but after hearing about these I had to give them a fraction of my attention and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised.
I picked up these three, and was glad to find that they're very well pigmented, lustrous to apply, with a glossy finish. They're also quite long lasting, though a little drying after a while.
I think my favourite is number 04, a gorgeous nude colour thats not too pale, its perfect for day-to-day application. 18 is the perfect plum colour, though it comes up a little pinker than I expected on my lips, and 17 is a lovely rose pink perfect to brighten up any look.
They were £5.99 each when I bought them, and Boots usually have 3 for 2 offers on anyway, so I'd say these are great value for money! I'm not sure I'd pay £8 each for them as I still love setting my eyes on a wide range of easy-to-pick shades from Lancome, Mac or YSL, but I still want the entire Rouge Edition collection, and when they're on offer again I may just be tempted to buy a few more!
A girl can never have too much lipstick, eh?
Have you tried these? Which is your favourite?

ReplyDeleteI have 13 and its an incredible red colour but I've not had chance to wear it yet. Those colours look much more wearable.

ReplyDeleteRose Tweed really looks so natural on you, a very everyday shade.
